My Neighborhood

People and Places near where I live

The places closest to home can be the easiest to pass without looking. I make these photographs while getting to know the people, businesses, and everyday rhythms of communities in western North Carolina.

A conversation at the diner, work underway in a shop, a gathering on the street. Each reveals something about the people who live here. This is an ongoing collection, shaped by the moments I encounter and the relationships that let me stay a little longer.
